Budget gym chain Trugym wanted to revamp their changing room and shower areas at several of their newly acquired clubs. They wanted to improve the overall customer experience maintain market share in an increasingly competitive catchment.
A clever use of colour flow LED lighting strips on top of the lockers provided a dramatic colour wash across the ceiling. Different colours were chosen for the male and female changing rooms and a two-tone vinyl plank floor covering complimented the Noce Luca locker finish. The lockers were a mix of 2 door and smaller 5 door bag holder lockers which were located closer to the changing room entrance for convenience and to make the most cost effect use of space.
Standard vanity units with hair dryer points and cool white LED down lit pelmet lighting, along with free standing benches were also chosen to allow easy traffic flow and to maximise space.
The fast growing budget gym group Trugym completed their first changing room refurbishment at their Chatham Club. They wanted to offer a 5 star changing room experience that would compete at the luxury end of the health club market, but for low cost fees. The result? Well shortly after refurbishing Chatham, GymkitUK were employed to refurbish the changing rooms at their Bromley club. Several other refurbishments are now in the pipeline!
Our changing rooms were looking tired and in need of investment. We are in a competitive catchment, and we wanted to reward our members for their loyalty. Not only have we seen a huge improvement in our member retention, but also an increase in new member sales. This has been a very good decision for us.
